Global Taekwondo Forum 2013
Join us for a discussion of
the worldwide phenomenon that is Taekwondo, Korea’s famous martial art,
including its development, status, and future growth, from both veteran
masters and the next generation of instructors. Plus, a live
demonstration, performance, ceremony of recognition, and reception.
The Global Taekwondo Forum 2013 will welcome First Class International Grandmaster H.K. Lee, Virginia State Taekwondo Referee Chairman Jim Horn,
and aspiring student instructors from Korea who have just completed a
two-month apprenticeship at Washington D.C. area schools hosted by the
Korean Cultural Center. Under the themes of Globalization of Taekwondo and Nurturing Taekwondo Professionalism,
each will share their personal experiences as well as views on how the
sport earned a prominent place in American culture and will innovate in
years to come.
